review 1: I read the first book and started reading this on principle but half way through it and i think it is time to put it to rest. I thought the idea was very creative and smart but from the beginning the book starts off flawed. There is a prologue that takes place 17 1/2 years in the past but the main character you follow is only 16. After reading the first book you understand why that doesn't make sense. Furthermore (and this is just a personal vendetta) the maturity level of these characters is about the same as a 15-16 year old, they are almost incapable of adult rational.
review 2: Loved this book. I was so surprised that I enjoyed it, because it is about "dragon slayers." Who knew? This book was recommended by one of my favorite websites, MMM Middle-aged Mo... morermom Man - love this website and he expoused the efforts of CJ Hill and her writing.I am so glad I listened to MMM and checked out CJ Hill's writing. I love her style and loved this book.I highly recommend it. less
