review 1: I didn't see this one coming. There was an old sailor who swallowed a krill…. a new memorable addition to the There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly spinoffs. The illustrations are enchanting. Even when the old sailor is swallowing things he really should think better about swallowing. Cleverly conceived and implemented. The illustrations extended the delight of the text. Added bonus - the end papers made me smile.
review 2: I was fortunate enough to receive this book as part of the Goodreads First Reads program. This book is a very creative rendition of "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.". Kids are sure to be amused at how the sailor ends up curing his tummy troubles! Beautifully illustrated. The big colorful pictures are sure to catch the eye's... more of little readers/listeners. And the "Fishy Facts" at the end was a great addition. Kids at elementary level are sure to love this book. less
