review 1: But how could she deny her heart? She loved him, blast the man!Maybe a knee to the groin wasn’t the best way to show it, but how else could she have gotten his attention?Well that is one way to get a man’s attention. But Eve has lots of other ways.She first gets Captain Nicholas Scott’s attention when he fishes her and her two friends out of shark infested waters after they jump off a ship headed to the Carolinas. Instead of the colonies, the three women end up as Captain Scott’s guest on Devil Isle. And they are all in for a devil of a time. This is a fun, action packed, witty read. I highly recommend Lord Of Devil Isle.
review 2: I would have given this book 4 1/2 stars if possible. The only problem I had with it is,some of the writing and/or dial... moreogue seemed a little too modern at times. I love a heroine who is tough and a survivor but yet still feminine. Eve was hilarious at times (swore like a sailor and could get "physical") and she had an attraction to Nick without falling immediately in love with him. Nick was likeable as a hero as well, sometimes you wanted to shake him, but that's par for the course.I have to say, this book had the best marriage proposal!! I won't say anymore to ruin it for you, but I loved it:D less
