review 1: The history section was fun but (like the web site) ever now and again I'd notice a "fact" that was incorrect. That pattern from Cracked.com material makes me constantly doubt their write-ups. Assuming that this books is almost all true it was a fun read. I noticed that I assumed to be common sense most of the information on chapters I was moderately familiar with (like science and biology). But as I said, a lot of the political history was new to me and history is my weak spot. So a tentative thumbs up pending fact checking.
review 2: A fun read. I learned some interesting stuff, like the fact that there were more than 2 books written by Homer. Geeze…now I wish I could go back in time and get those works of his published.For a fact book like this, just remem... moreber that it's a good idea to fact-check the information if you decide to, you know, use the information to teach a class of kids their other teachers never told them. less
