review 1: My older two kids fell in love with this one a couple of years back when they got to see Craig Smith performing it in the mall over the holidays. They thought it was just hilarious and loved the catchy tune. Since then we have obtained our own copy, and they loved the illustrations as well as the story. My five year old son still thinks it is great, but it is Miss 2 who favours it the most now, especially the page where he is a "Stinky ....Wonky Donkey" - that one has her in hysterics without fail.
review 2: I don't usually add children's books, but this one is worth a look I think, if you are in the market for children's fiction. It's funny and catchy, with good illustrations. AND - I heard that some overly-politically correct sorts have complained that it i... mores unsuitable! (He's Wonky because he has only three legs. Of course - he's also spunky, lanky, and has loads of personality, so I am not too worried about it myself :) less
