review 1: I really loved this book. This was an action filled, fast paced story. The suspense was also very good. Lots of twist and turns along the way. The romance and friendship between Cale, and Cassidy was sweet! I would recommend Glitter and Gunfire to anyone that enjoys a good action packed romance. Sample from chapter 2He shoved the car into drive and slammed the gas pedal down to the floorboard. They raced from the scene with bullets chasing after them. His right hand still held the gun, and his left kept a white knuckled grip around the steering wheel. “Are you okay?” Cale demanded as they rounded the next corner. The shooter could be pursuing them, so he barely slowed. He was pretty sure the sports car lifted onto two wheels. Sample from chapter 7“Look, if you don�... more��t want the assignment” He eliminated that two feet of distance in less than a second. “Lets get one thing clear. I don’t think of you as an assignment.” Oh. That was good. It sounded good, anyway. Her heartbeat had sure picked up plenty at the news as it raced in her chest. “How do you think of me?” She and Cale were finally away from the other agents and any prying eyes. The rest of the world was locked out. The stillness of the night surrounded them. Cale’s gaze darkened as he stood before her. “I’m starting to think of you… as mine.” The words were rough, possessive. And they were the last things that she’d expected him to say.
review 2: Another great read by Cynthia Eden. Glitter and Gunfire was a fast moving and action packed novel. Lots of twists and turns throughout and of course a shocking who-done-it that Ms. Eden always puts out. Loved the characters of Cale and Cassidy and it was nice getting to know more of Mercer in this. A great romantic suspense novel and a great addition to Cynthia Eden’s Shadow Agents series. Can’t wait for her next one. less
