review 1: This book is the truth. I won't lie it made me cry a lot but it also made me smile a lot. I lost my grandma from cancer. I know the pain and I know what is like to watch someone's life get taken away especially someone so deserving of life. My grandma missed so much about my life. I wish I had read this book sooner. It helped me so much to understand more about life. To find the little things in life that keep you going and to find those hints and clues of that person in everyday life. This is the second book I have read by this author and I am a loyal fan now. I will continue to read whatever this author writes. It amazes me the way this author can talk about such a painful time and find a way to make you smile.I loved this family and the way they flowed so well together.... more The flow of the book worked really well. I couldn't stop reading. I knew this book would be sad I was warned but do not let that stop you from reading this well written and connected book. This story has a smile at the end even if it's hard to see that.
review 2: When D. Love posted on Facebook if anyone wants to read one of her books and do a review, i honestly wasn't expecting very much. I just love reading and thought it would be interesting reading a new book. I want to now say sorry for not expecting much from this book. The synopsis is very short, and doesn't have a lot of detail so i wasn't sure what to expect while reading. I am seriously blown away by this story! I laughed and i cried all through out this book.It starts out with Rye who is 25 years old and has a braid tumor, who also has a 10 year old daughter that she adores. In the very beginning they meet Jett, a young man that Rye knew in high school. But with a brain tumor, how do you start a relationship with someone knowing you are sick.Unlike most books i read that deal with cancer, Rye has an amazing support system with her family. She lives with her mom who actually runs her own book club on Facebook. She has a younger sister who has a supportive husband and a young daughter. They are always around and are there for one another. They are constantly making amazing memories together despite Rye having a brain tumor. Jett is also the perfect gentlemen, never pushing the limits with Rye and always trying to be there for her. It has a few unexpected plot twist that i really didn't see coming, but i fee like it added way more depth to the story. This book had me hooked on the first page and i seriously couldn't put it down. I feel like everyone needs to read this. It's one of those books that make you look at your own life in a different light. less
