review 1: Full disclosure, this was my first ever YA-Contemp... and it was so much fun. Granted, I have no idea if the book is cliche or not, because I've never read this kind of stuff, but the writing was really fantastic, and the characters easy to love. I really must say, the dialogue in this book is the best-written dialogue I've read in a LONG time. Legit five stars here, and not because I'm just trying to be nice.
review 2: I certainly can't say much bad about a book that I flew through in one afternoon, and overall I really enjoyed this story of a girl who falls in love with a TV star but has to keep it quiet while he embarks on a showmance with her actress best friend. I had a few annoyances here or there with Alli, who flip-flopped around a lot. Of course, she i... mores a teenage girl and that is to be expected considering the circumstances. Some of the storyline got a little unbelievable there toward the end (where are her parents when she's flying across the country??), but the whole book was just fun escapism anyway, so whatever! less
