My Weird School Daze

review 1: Given that I read this entire book to Rose last night (she was overtired and needed some one-on-one mom time), I figured I'd add it to the list here. Rose started reading this series over the summer and really got into it. The main character is a boy who doesn't like school, and his attitude and smart mouth reflect that. I'm not overly crazy about that particular aspect of the book--the kids are also pretty quick to call each other names. However, it definitely has clever moments, and it kept my daughter's interest throughout.
review 2: I like this book because I learned that we should save energy and create less waste (this will help the planet). So this idea will help stop global warming. In this book, the kids are trying to win a challenge. Their challenge i... mores to be the greenest school in the month of Sept. the kids want to win because they will have an all you can eat chocolate party. The leader of this program is Mr.Granite. Mr.Granite makes every one do crazy things. At the end, the school got second place in the challenge. They lost because another school painted their school green with plants.The kids found out Mr.Granite is an alien from another planet. His real name is Etinarg. After all the kids got their party. Also Mr.Granite had to return back to his home planet,but his spaceship broke down so in the end he was stuck on earth. less
