My Weirder School
review 1: My Review: A.J hates tests because they are no fun. As far as he is concerned tests should be thrown into a giant garbage can. Most of the kids felt the same way. Mr. Granite their class teacher assure them that every student in the State will be taking the same test because the Board of Education wanted to find out how much they know about history.A few days later A.J’s principle wanted to see the entire student in the assembly hall. He announced that results for the test came back and they did horribly, Ella Mentry School got the worst scores in the whole country. So he has decided to bring in a professor from a local college to help teach them history. The professor came on stage and introduced as Dr Nicholas. Dr Nicholas is an old white lady who walks with a cane. Th... moree students started to ask questions.Q. How old are you?A. 92 years and proud if it she saidQ. Did you ever meet Abraham Lincoln?A. No, said Dr. Nicholas, but years ago I drove one of his convertiblesQ. Where you alive when there were dinosaurs?A. Oh yes. In fact, I used to ride a dinosaur to schoolThis book will make you laugh so hard it’s that funny. And find out why Dr. Nicholas built a time machine to take the class on a field trip to the past and future and who get stuck in time. You’ll have to read to find out!The illustrations by Jim Paillot help to makes the story hilarious. I highly recommend this book.FTC Disclosure: I received a review copy of these books from the HarperCollins Publishers in exchange for a fair and honest review. I was not monetarily compensated for my opinion in any way.
review 2: Dr. Nicholas is the oldest and strangest history teacher ever! Will her quirky lessons be enough to bring up Ella Mentary School's atrociously low test scores and save the school from closure? This series is a MUST read for all elementary grade school students, teachers and parents! I guarantee even your most reluctant readers will squeal and jump up and down when they see a new one has hit the library shelves; I know I do! less
