review 1: Loved it. Reminds me of some of the stories I read growing up. Realistic characters, with the kids' POVs spot on with sounding their age. Humourous, but with serious moments too. Loved the way in which the fact the family has two dads is just accepted and isn't an 'issue' in the story, but the focus is on family life and their four sons. There needs to be more books like this readily available in libraries etc. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

It will make a terrific read aloud, for discussing all the growing-up challenges that happen. They aren’t always bad, but life things that just happen. One learns and grows, and in the meantime, it’s time to just “be” a family. less
