review 1: An odd twist on Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up and who never wanted to... a similar sentiment to any tragic figure who "simply" wants to live forever. Adventuring through Marlowe school is always a delightfully eery time, and this particular story was chock full of Egyptian lore twisted with fairytale classic. There were so many adventures! I'd say my favorite character was Professor Darling. He's like a kid and humble and loving and smiles when the kids enjoy his stories.
review 2: 3.5 - this was a fun take on the Peter Pan story. And by fun I mean interesting, not joyful kiddie stuff. This was your typical whiny teenagers/high schoolers with their typical issues plus the added bonus of fighting off the evils of the dark lady and looking for bones
... morein an other dimension. Being older I'll probably never really appreciate some of the situations written in YA books (while I never want to be a grown-up, I still never want those ridiculous issues ever again! I don't want to worry about what crowd I fit in with). Heck, especially with today's beauty ads and fashions, no one wants to look older or like themselves. Peter's goal to be forever young probably strikes at the heart of everyone who buys an anti-aging product, eats certain foods that surely won't let you wrinkle, or refuses to smile or laugh because they could get laugh lines (the horrors!). =) less

DNF at page 92. A valiant attempt, but it wasn't enough to hold my attention, unfortunately.

Contemporary rewrite of Peter Pan intertwined with Egyptian mythology. Weird but good.
