review 1: Gage and Anna meet at a grieving parents' group, get married, and want to adopt a child. Lily agrees to give her baby to them and it seems like the perfect arrangement. However things are not always what they seem! I don't usually like mysteries because everything speeds up so much at the conclusion....and I get confused! But I hung in there right to the end on this one. Great suspense and one surprise after another!
review 2: I don't usually guess the ending to suspense and mystery books in the first few chapters, but I did with this one. It was interesting to see how the story played out, but I felt like the clues flashed like beacons. Dynamite, sympathetic protagonist with great motivation. Great crew of bad guys. Strong writing. Rather slow for me, but an unexpected twist in the plot at the end that I did not see coming!
