review 1: I was expecting more from this book, it wasn't that I didn't like it, I did it just didn't seem to flow and for me, something was missing. Emily is the mother of three year old Maia, she's at college and the book starts on her first day at work. Her new job is working bar at The Lounge just as she's entering work she stumbles and is caught by Julian, the owner and this is the start of the mutual attraction between these two. Now these two come with enough baggage to sink a cruise ship but they battle through, one of the other reviewers likened this to the crossfire series and that's exactly what I thought while reading it, but something was off. His mood swings were making me dizzy and their relationship was never quite believable. This said I did enjoy it for what it was ... morejust thought it could have been so much more.
review 2: I just could not get into this book. I tried. I really did. It took me several days to finish it.This is the fly by the seat of your pants relationship of Julian and Emily. He's a successful businessman and she's a single mother trying to make ends meet. I thought the story seemed a bit different so I thought what the heck and tried it.I don't like to give bad reviews, but this book was rather predictable. And, at times I felt like the writer had ADHD as it skipped from one thing to the next in the same paragraph. I don't think I will be reading anymore in this series. Just my opinion... less

Another blasé book. I almost got to the end but I'm honestly done with this one.
