review 1: This was a typical Harlequin/Mills & Book/Silhouette sweet romance with a plain poor but talented and kind heroine and a rich and handsome boss who fall in love. For years, I devoured those books, and I enjoyed this one. However, I would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't had so many grammatical errors, such as wrong words and incorrect punctuation. It also bothered me that the characters seldom used contractions. Their dialogue sounded overly formal as a result. An entertaining story could have been much better if an editor other than spell check and grammar check had been used.
review 2: It's too bad this book wasn't edited properly. It really had potential. I guess I got to about chapter 4 and couldn't take the blatant grammar and spelling errors anymore. The
... more story begins well, introducing us to Grant, an executive rushing to a meeting. Then comes Tizzy, who gives Grant a ride. Fine. I didn't realize that these two knew each other...or at least knew who each other was. Things were not explained well, POVs were conflicting and hopped all over the place and I saw absolutely no use for Becky.Maybe the story could be salvaged and re-published with some editing/proofing. I'd try it again if that were the case. less
