review 1: "Inherit the Word" is book #2 in the Cookbook Nook Mystery series and does not disappoint! In this mystery Jenna's shop is hosting a Grill Fest with a grilled cheese challenge! Of course there is a little murder mystery thrown in and Jenna's own personal mystery starts to unfold. What I liked about this book is all the fun characters that add a little flair to the story and all the yummy food descriptions make you want to have the exact treat being mentioned, yes I did whip up a grilled cheese to nibble on while reading ;) Jenna's personal mystery also has me very intrigued, I really think there is more to that story and hope to find out more in future books. Will definitely be reading the next installment!
review 2: Not as good as usual, too much "ping ping" ... moregoing on with Jenna for 1/2 the story. Why was soooo much story spent lying out "possible" suspects + motives? was it lack of a full book? Near the end when the author finally got down to business, the story moved quickly. I don't remember Jenna telling us her husbands body was ever found--I figured he left the country, but, he left retribution sooo I suppose we are to believe he actually did die or has the author left this question open to be a possible story-line in the future, say when Jenna gets engaged and he wants back into her life?! less
