review 1: This informational text has the history of America explained by giving facts and also dissecting a made-up village of 100 people. The author breaks the 100 people into numbers of ethnicity, religion, economic status, etc. By using a number like 100, students can more easily understand the concepts relayed on a scale they will be familiar with. This book would be good for social studies lessons about the history of the US.

... morehere, how many people in the world are Muslim compared to here, what percentage of the population lives in cities now versus a century ago., It was a simple approach to what can be complex material less
