review 1: Quite mixed reviews for this one, but I for one, loved it. It's a delightful and humorous tale of one young man's search for love. His interactions with the opposite sex, beginning at age eight, brought back memories from my own early experiences. I laughed out loud at some of the circumstances he found himself in. These people who are bashing it due to the sexual content are just taking it too seriously. I'm sure almost everyone can find at least one experience here that they can relate to in some way. Amidst all his bumbling, fate steps in and helps him find his way. I liked it so much, I will likely read it again, and I can't wait to read more from this author.
review 2: I was well into the book before it even dawned on me that the setting was in England. I
... moredid not have any trouble relating to the main character, in fact I had some experiences that were almost identical. The author was very creative in how the growing pains in boy/girl relationships develop through out the progression from youth to adult. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to look back on their years and see the impact love has on the character and as it relates to them. less

I really liked that this book was awkward and uncomfortable at times... Just like real life!
