review 1: It's not bad, really. Kind of like a proto-Cussler in a way, with a dash of Matthew Reilly and a smidge of Andy McDermott as well. It tells the story of a team of Pararescue troops who end in a twisting and turning plot involving Somali pirates, pretty Russian scientists and experimental weaponry. And as it's clearly the first in a series I might stick my toe a little bit further into this particular story pool.
review 2: It is a long time since I've read a book this good. Only two typos in the whole book, and incredibly well edited and written. This is a gripping story from start to finish. The author actually spent time with PJ teams, and on container ships to research the material for this book. The character development is excellent, as is the plot pace and
... more twists. The ending is well rounded and tight.I will be looking out for more from this author. If you like action/adventure - and especially tales of the sea and/or military, then this book is for you. less
