review 1: Very well researched book about Americans in Paris just over 100 years ago. It makes me want to go right niw and join them though I have never been there and the people from this book are long gone by now. This author is known for his many other well known historical works only a few of which I have read. The book was enjoyable and I did learn a lot of history, but I would not call it a must read.
