review 1: I think I might have a slightly wrong title because the one I listened to was "Live at Carnegie Hall" and the first story was one about his sister's parrot but I'm not seeing the real one alone, i.e. not part of a box set, so I'll review the one available for download at OhioLINK here. Overall, another good performance of David's but if you've heard some of his latest stories these are mostly repeats. The opening story about his sister's parrot and the filler fluff of audience questions and journal entries are the only new material. But if you like David, you'll like hearing them again.
review 2: It took me awhile to get past the voice of the author. Once I was acclimated to it, this was more than enjoyable. The stories were funny, and not needlessly vulgar.
... more Sedaris had me at his story about special education teachers. Something like: Is it true that most of your students don't have a learning disability, they are just a-holes?This is only a 75 minute book, well worth the time. less
