review 1: I was really excited to get this steamy romance for review. Hers is a short, intense, steamy read. Our leading lady, Seven James is broken, she had a troublesome childhood with less than stellar parents and an older brother who despised her very existence. The only person who she can depend on his her best friend Star. The story starts off with a dramatic scene where our heroine Seven James has her heart broken by her first love. It skips to seven years later when our Seven is finally going to exact her revenge and take over her ex's company.Seven uses sex as a weapon, she uses it to dominate as well as form a connection, any kind of connection to another person. She is convinced that she is unlovable, that no one will ever want her and all she is good for is one night. ... moreAt a club, Seven meets Levi. They have one night together. Despite her strong chemistry with Levi, she will only allow one night with him. Then comes a twist of fate where Levi turns out to be on the board of the company she is taking over. Thrown together on an impromptu business trip, Levi manages to break through Seven's walls and they form a relationship. Seven struggles with her decision to allow herself to be vulnerable to another person, however Levi proves time and again that he wants Seven, the forever kind of love. Seven returns home, only to walk straight into a betrayal of epic proportions. A repeat of something that happened years ago that she was never able to get over. I loved watching the relationship between Seven and Levi blossom as she started to realise that some other relationships aren't quite what they seemed. Hers was a brilliant read, although short, it was well written and the characters were well developed. Not for the feint hearted or under 18 as it was a very steamy read. A stand alone novella with a happily ever after. I'm happy to give this one 4.5 steamy stars!
review 2: I was surprised by this book. When I bought it I didn't realize it was categorized as a erotic book. So as I started the book I thought it was seeming a little over the top in the sex department and thought I wouldn't really like it at all. But I gave it a chance and am glad I did! It had just the right amount of kink while still telling a decent story. I never got board or aggravated by some of the weirdness some of the typical "erotic" books tend to have. less

A bit more of a love story than I expected. This helped tone down the raunchiness!
