review 1: Gabe Moretti is the illegitimate son of the late Dominic Dante. All his life Gabe has denied his Dante heritage, never even telling any of the Dantes that he existed. Now, however, Gabe has been struck by The Inferno when Kat Malloy, his late wife's cousin, appears in his office! The stunning beauty offers him the Dante necklace, "Heart's Desire," created by Gabe's mother and now in Kat's possession, in return for his hand in marriage! With family secrets swirling and The Inferno causing an itch that can't be ignored, Gabe is forced to go the Dantes to find out the truth about the passion it causes.I have read and enjoyed The Dante Legacy series. They are a must buy books; this is no different. With the family secrets swirling, this is a touching story as they come o... moreut. I'm sorry to see it end.
review 2: Day's last novel for the Desire line and I'm sad. I have followed this Dante family through all of the novels. Her website does give us hope that she will continue to write and that there will be more Dante stories (Lucia's story coming up!). It is so interesting to have the "Dante's Inferno" as a continuing convention in all of the novels. What is this Inferno? When a Dante family member meets their soulmate with their first handshake, the Inferno comes to life. It is a extremely powerful blast of desire that never leaves the two. The palm of the hand is itchy and there is a heat to it. Some of the characters try to fight it and some times it's very inconvenient (hello! Cousin of my dead wife whom I hated!), but as Primo, the family's patriarch says, it cannot be denied. I enjoyed this edition with Gabe Moretti (bastard son of the Dante kids father) coming to terms with being a Dante and experiencing the Inferno. He had to let go of his pre-conceived notions about the Dante family and Kat and allow himself to truly find his way home. less
