review 1: I found this book trolling around on Goodreads and just by the synopsis I knew I had to read it.I can't say that I have read a book before that has broke my heart like this one did. I very literally sat with my Kleenex and cried during one absolutely heartbreaking moment in this book. I cannot imagine the pain, the turmoil, the utter devastation these two very young individuals went through only to have their relationship fall apart very soon after.I really didn't feel like the secret that she was keeping was nearly enough to destroy the newly budding relationship they had decided to start back up. Quite honestly, I believe his was SOOO much more worse. Towards the end of this book, the only thing I could do was sympathize with her....this huge cracking heartbreaking feeli... moreng tore through my body and from reading the synopsis of the 2nd book, I can't imagine how this girl who has had her world turned upside down and smashed back down on a crooked frame could ever get through the next thing the world is going to throw at her and I can't express how much I TRULY do not like him at this point.
review 2: i was trying to be strong when i was reading this, but once it got to the flashbacks, i was bawling my eyes out. this is kind of a weak link for me. just a few months ago, my cousin had a baby, and he died exactly a week after he was born. he was born without a full brain and skull. so reading this here, i kinda feel like i have firsthand account of what it felt like for them. the writing, characterization - i loved it all! less
