review 1: I really enjoyed this book! it helps that the last book I read was utter rubbish and coming onto this one, it seemed like literary genius! all jokes aside, I thought this was better than the other 2 in the series by far! great characters, great story and enough excitement to cause me to devour this book in a day. Holland developed the story of what seemed like a desperate teacher's crush on Nick Sanders. I actually felt sorry for her instead of the rolling of eyes in the last books. I loved how she bought in the beloved characters from the other books and developed their stories as well. David really gripped my heart and I felt very attached to him. I didn't want this story to end to be honest. Cannot wait until the prequel of this series is released!
review 2:... more> I really liked this book, and the series. Good, clean historical romance. The author does not bog the story down with endless recitations of the characters' thoughts and feelings. She keeps the story moving, and you figure that out for yourself. What a relief!I liked it so much I read the entire series in a few days - one right after the other. Would love to read more, as I really got attached to all of the characters in the town. less
