review 1: I was very happily surprised by this book. I really loved the story between all the main characters. I would have given it a 5 star rating but the non existent conflict just kept going too long. Then the story ended abruptly. I wanted to read more of the happy. But still, I like it a lot. Just an FYI... the sex scenes are very sweet and implied. Not explicit. I liked that in this story, but if you like lots of details, this doesn't have that. Happy reading!
review 2: A good tale about Viking and Celtic cultures, and the strife that has always existed between the two. Arienh and Birgit are two sister's who are Celts. Their family and friends were taken from their village; beaten, sold to slavery, killed, and raped by Vikings. The two sister's are called loki's D
... moreaughters for reasons the book will tell you. There are only women and one elderly father left in the village. The women have to learn how to take care of themselves; learn how to live without the help of their husbands and brothers, and fathers. After many years, Viking men show up (call themselves Northmen). They say they are not there to hurt the women, but that they are looking to build a life on the land, and that there is plenty of it. The Celts are very weary of the Vikings, and do not want them there. But Ronan, the viking, has come to claim the girl he saved a long time ago in a fight. He has dreamed of her for years, and wants to make his dreams a reality. less

Heh, NOT what I was expecting. NOT a romance novel fan, although this had some redeeming moments.

I would have enjoyed it more if the author had left out the "soft porn."
