review 1: This is another good read from Derekica Snake. From the books I've read from her so far it seems like her MC's really have to work for a happy ending. They get screwed over and over again (no pun intended..maybe) but they make it through. This story had me mesmerized and just like her other books it has me still thinking about it days later. I love Erik & Trevor!!! This is a dark story maybe more tame then some of her others but still dark. If you can't or don't want to read about non-con and murder then this is not the book for you.
review 2: It's like an orange. You peel away the rough texture to enjoy the fruit inside. It's sweet. It's tender. It's welcome. But...it's underneath that coating, that rough textured coating that must be torn apart, removed. You ... moreread one of Snake's books and you want to savor every moment. You feel the lash and discover yourself loving the handler. You lick your fingers as you reread moments, words, thoughts trying to catch every last drop and still squeeze never wishing to let go. I so enjoyed this story. Trevor, Tre-don, the Devil. Azure, Erik, the Devil's Advocate. I hated Erik in the beginning, but Snake knows how to make the reader love the handler. The more you know, the more the story grows and the characters wet your appetite for more. This story will do exactly that and just like I did, you will lick your fingers, re-read moments, and find yourself wanting more. less
