review 1: A brilliantly funny and unexpectedly touching read. From the title of this I was kind of expecting a typical girly rom-com type book, but HTKABAAP is so much more than that. It is full of great characters, Circe is hilarious, down to earth and instantly relatable as she lunges from on boy disaster to another and the first person narrative brings you even closer to her wacky way of thinking. I started reading this at 9pm one evening and ended up reading it straight through until 2am, by which time I had laughed myself silly and cried a bucket-load. A fantastic read!
review 2: I loved how to keep a boy as a pet it was funny and made me laugh so much yet it also had lots of emotion in it like the deal with Rufus's family and Circe's dad. the way Diane Messidoro wr... moreote and made Circe sound was very enchanting and interesting , I think that How To Keep A Boy As A Pet was an amazing read. I can't wait for What Not To Do In The Dark ( The sequal to how to keep a boy as a pet )comes out. less
