review 1: This book's art work is ridiculously cute. I know, that c word. The message of empathy is conveyed very well and in a way that I think most kids can relate to. After all, most have a favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal. Or even a blanket. While probably not big enough for a large storytime and requiring focus, I would probably use this as a storytime book in the categories of empathy and sleep. It would make a good book for one on one at bedtime as well.
review 2: When Anna Banana keeps reading her book long best bed time, her stuffed animal friends wait patiently at first and then become increasingly more insistent in their needs to go to sleep. Turn about is fair play, though, and they get her back when she finally is ready to sleep. The text and illustrati... moreons are lively, engaging, and funny. I'm sure many young readers and parents will be able to relate to the final good night scenes when all is forgiven. less
