review 1: Why was this not required reading when I was in graduate school for teaching? This book should be in every teaching 101 curriculum because it gives practical and researched techniques for teachers to use in the classroom. Some of them are familiar, but there are a number I am looking forward to implementing. Easy to follow, easy to read, and really great for anyone who is a teacher or thinking about becoming one.

I wish that there were two books, one for K-6 and another for 7-12, so that Lemov could emphasize techniques that are more useful in high school classrooms. less

The best book for novice teachers - hands down. Video clips are excellent support for application.
