review 1: Most of the reviews of this book liken it to Desperate Housewives, which I guess is fair though the book isn't as "delicious" as the tv series was. It's very predictable and the characters aren't nearly as charismatic as one might hope. But, it's a quick read and one that would probably do well on the beach. I'll admit that I purchased it for my Kindle for about a dollar and I got my money's worth...but not a penny more!
review 2: This was a super quick read; a book that definitely doesn't outstay its welcome but leaves you wanting more. It certainly could have been longer with the plot padded out more, the drama drawn out, characters further developed and their secrets exposed over time. Unexpectedly biting and sharp; it throws the whole myth of a slow Sava... morennah rich neighbourhood on its head. In some way this almost reminded me of a Desperate Housewives-style dark comedy - it would indeed make a great setting and starter plot for a TV show. less
