review 1: Really enjoyed this book. It was a simple story with great characters, totally realistic and relatable. In this case, the Amazon summary, ratings and reviews do the book justice...even if the cover doesn't. At its core, this is a story of love and relationships...of growing up and growing old. And it is a roller coaster of emotions! An obvious strength for the author, he deals with emotions in such a way that the reader cannot help but feel and experience them along with the characters. Personally I believe this is a talent that too few writers possess. I find the book's cover such a turn off that I would not have bothered with it had I been considering the physical book (instead of the Kindle edition) and if the ratings and reviews weren't so universally positive. I whole... more heartedly recommend this book to readers of all ages. I thought it was terrific!
