review 1: I think this book had the potential to be good, but man oh man was Kara annoying! Throughout this book she kept emphasizing the 2 week agreement, but Baron never made it seem like that's legit all he was giving her, he had sooo many signs of actually wanting a relationship with her. She was whiny, indecisive, and just plain bitchy. She played too much on the "poor me, I'm not the favorite child" card and I felt like she really should of been a freshman in high school with her maturity level. Baron didn't really do anything for me either. When I read a book like this, I really need to like the characters in order overlook some of the corny statements and sappy situations, and sadly that did not happen in this one.
review 2: Kara Michaels vowed to have her own b... moreusiness and resign from Baron's gallery by the time she turned twenty-eight. Only now she was twenty-nine and now she had to pull up her big girl panties, go to Baron and hand in her resignation. For five years, she restored paintings and was darn good at her job, hut lusting after her boss while he didn't know she was alive and she couldn't take it any more. How could he not see how she dropped everything and flew to his side after his ex-fianace' hurt him badly.............Baron Fitzgerald vowed to never be hurt again after Valerie took off with his best friend and said she aborted their child!! He was so hurt and destroyed to know that she never loved him nor wanted his child. But that was five years ago, before Kara Michaels interviewed for conservation in his art gallery and once he saw her he felt a connection from day one! Only one thing kept him from going after her now-- his own stupid rule!E. B. Waters pens a story so realistic that you almost can see it flowing right in front of your eyes! Poor Kara has been looked over by her family when her younger sister always got what she wanted and even stole two of her boyfriends. Of course. the princess threw drama fits and who always came running and if she chose not to they made her feel guilty? less
