review 1: What a fantastic couple! Bo is just about the opposite guy you’d pick out for Lucky and vice versa – as a result the chemistry between them is scorching hot!Eden has given us two very funny, slightly complex, mostly alpha MCs who feel deeply, rarely show what they are really feeling, but in the end give each other what they need in a way that is tender and sweet.The action part of the story, Lucky is working undercover to help stop pharmaceutical theft and Bo is his new partner, is fast moving, pretty interesting and keeps the story moving along.There is a fair amount of hot smexy scenes and a touching emotional scenes as well. This is the first of 4 books in this series and I know I will be looking into reading all four books.I highly recommend this book with 4 of 5... more hearts.
review 2: I received this book through DBML and the author in exchange for my honest review!Thank you to both for this opportunity!I had been wanting to read this book for awhile and was really excited to be able to review it. The book did not disappoint. Lucky, who is our main character, is an ex-con who now works for a government agency helping to take down businesses that participate in illegal/unethical prescription drug deals. The details of the scams/deals were really interesting to me as I work in the medical industry. Lucky himself was an interesting character. He's a bit (ok a lot) abrasive and guarded. When he's set up with a new partner, Bo, he goes out of his way to make Bo's life difficult. Bo is a pharmacist who has gotten in trouble for using prescription drugs and is working with the agency in hope of getting his license back. Bo is Lucky's total opposite. While Lucky is jaded and cynical Bo is kind and soft-hearted. It's tough going at first but the two men eventually start to grow on each other and a romance develops.The story was fast paced and interesting from begining to end. I loved both of the guys. I wasn't sure about Lucky at first but once his back story came out I found myself really rooting for him. I liked Bo from the very begining. These two are hot, hot, hot together and their tender moments were really sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and immediately went on to read the rest of the series. Can't wait for the fourth installment of this series. less
