review 1: A heartwarming story of one woman's struggles and experiences dealing with her mother's dementia. As I read Elaine's story, I was reminded of my own experiences with family members who slowly lost the memories they held so dear, and trying to figure it all out along the way. "I Will Never Forget" graciously invites readers to enter the lives being altered by dementia through painful realizations and levity, showing how it changes the lives of everyone involved. It is a brave story about a beautiful bond between mother and child that moved me on so many levels. I am honored to have had the change to read it.
review 2: This story a memoir is so emotional on so many different levels. A daughters love for her mother waiting and watching dementia take a hold of her... more. The decline in health body and mind deteriorate quickly. Elaine's love letter to her mother flowed overwhelming with love and emotions. Recalling the past, recalling events with her mother. Touching moments, funny moment, loving moments. Tales of the family is exposed and by doing so the story jutted forward. It helped to ease out of the seriousness of dementia at times. The author's talented writing created the temporary relief, but this is not temporary. I cannot tell you how devastating it is to watch your love one succumbed to it only someone who had or is going through it can, and with that I am grateful you shared it with all of us.
