review 1: I picked this up expecting something like the bunny suicide books, but with penguins. That being said, I found it to be derivative and... not very funny.I feel a little absurd criticizing such a purposefully silly and pointless book, but it really just took the jokes too far. I found a few of the pictures/situations a little tasteless, disturbing, and offensive in ways I never reacted to the bunny books. Just utterly underwhelmed.
review 2: While most of my penguins are good little ones i know that some cute penguins go bad. In this slim volume Ella Anie depicts the ones that do go to the other side .. the humour is both current and (mostly) timeless. While a few aren't on my i like this best list, my "favourites" include "trojan penguin" (read the fine print),... more the atkins diet, cola polar bear, and the "car fish".
