review 1: quotes:-Men think they want the shooting star on their arm, but in the end, they want to go home to the reliable moon, always in their orbit, within reach. It shines brightly enough. Everyone knows that moon is predictable,respectable.-Take pleasure where you can find it, Helene. Life is too short not to enjoy every moment.- He’d loved Teddy from the first moment he saw him. He supposed the tender feelings were augmented by the certain knowledge the boy was completely his. There was something deeply disturbing to him about losing his only child. The concept of flesh and blood was never more real as he had watched Teddy in his bed dying. A piece of him had died that day. Talking about it did not alleviate the pain. ~review~ ... more This book is so much more than (can-count-them-on-my-fingers but non-memorable) erotica I have read, actually it’s written better than some moderns that are not considered erotic. If you can ignore few dated expressions, that may enhance historical feeling about story, you get wonderful arranged marriage novel with believable characters, steamy sex and witty dialog. it’s kind of fairytaleish and very enjoyable.
review 2: I loved this book. I was a little skeptical and ambivalent towards Lord Redding initially; but then loved him as the book progressed. I liked how the author did not spend pages on the back story of how Redding lost his son but yet managed to convey the his grief. I started out feeling sorry for Helene but found her annoying and childish at times. The h and H were well suited and I rooted for there HEA. This was different as there was no major crisis for them to overcome. It was a refreshing read as the story was about them getting to know and love one another. Looking forward to reading more by this author. If someone knows more books of this genre please let me know. less
