review 1: Novella of 24,000 words. Not bad for being a novella. Jude is a writer who is trying to switch genres and finds it difficult. Alyssa is a fan who offers to show him how to make his contemporary love scenes better. I fell in love with Jude. He was so hopelessly horrible at dating and life that I almost did not want to get to know him, but when he realizes that Alyssa has some issues of her own, he mans up and goes after her. Great read.
review 2: A short, smutty novella that was free and actually somewhat entertaining. That's pretty unheard of for me. I wanted a quick, easy, fun read to break up all the serious, long, dark books I have been reading lately and this certainly fit the bill. For being so short, Fisher managed to get some character development in
... more there. I really liked the main character, Jude - an awkward romance novelist. I don't think it was entirely realistic (a girl breaking down about her mommy issues on a second date? Um, yeah right.) but at least it had some entertainment value which is all I can ask for. less

Beta males are so not my thing. The guy in the story was a beta. Enough said.
