review 1: I have always prided myself for seeing things through, and once I became an avid reader, I promised myself that when I started a series, I wanted to see it through. I'm so glad that I made that promise to myself, as I really enjoyed Breaking Shaun. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't dis-like Freeing Asia, I just didn't connect with that couple as much as I would have liked; and it actually was several of the supporting characters that captured my attention, with Shaun being one of them. Whenever a character has a hard time with commitment in relationships, there is always a juicy story in there, and that was definitely the case for both Shaun and Natalie; they were dynamic in their own right, but together, well they were just amazing. Loved their energy, their chemistry, the... moreir insecurities and their frailties, which of course made them the ideal together, as they made each other stronger. As a reader, I would have loved to experienced more of that time they worked on becoming a cohesive couple, as I felt that the ending seemed a bit rushed. I do hope that we get to experience more of them in Jay's story. Also would love to see more of Mandy; could it be that maybe Jay is her ideal southern gentleman? Now that could be fun!
review 2: Breaking Shaun is an amazing read. It's about a girl who has been lost most of her life, along with taking care of her little sister and never puts herself first. She moves into with her cousin and ends up meeting a man that has the same outlook as she does. They start out as friends and then things get complicated along with a lot of added emotions. Things happen, twists and turns grow in their path. I absolutely loved this book and the story line is amazing. less
