review 1: This book will cause you to reconsider all prior views to the possibility of a zombie apocalypse. Taking place in Lebanon, PA, "zombies" are not only possible but very plausible as people are infected with a prion from a contaminated diet drink that affects their brains and turns them into sociopathic, mumbling, zombie-like creatures. The government has found a way to control them, if it doesn't kill them first. Read this page-turning book that will challenge your own compassions and ideals, as Velvet attempts to rescue her mother from the disease and find some kind of normalcy to her life when everything around her is falling apart. Recommended for older readers due to occasional graphic violence.
review 2: Three and a half stars. I read a lot of bad revie
... morews of this books, and I agreed with what they were saying. The cover didn't explain this book well. The reviews that are quoted on the book didn't explain it well. In fact, those things were completely misleading. I can understand that this would upset some people. However, I don't believe that this should make the rating of the book go down for them. After all, those are not written by the author. That is not the author's work. While they are misleading, it is not fair to judge the book based on them. I found this book quite interesting, though not "horrifying" or "blood-chilling" or any of the other stupid things the cover said it would be. It wasn't a bad book. less
