review 1: The sequel to Happiness Key finds Tracy Deloche thinking she’s hallucinating when she sees her ex-husband, who is supposed to be in prison, skulking around Happiness Key. Her boyfriend and lover, Marsh, is fighting his own battles when his ex-wife shows up and claims she wants to be a mother to their son. Tracy’s tenants and friends have problems of their own. Janya Kapur, a young Indian woman in an arranged marriage, thought that she and her husband were growing closer. Now, however, he seems to be pulling away and cannot even bear to touch her. Funky Wanda decides to open a pie shop only to find her efforts sabotaged by another pastry shop owner in town. To top it off, Alice and her granddaughter Lizzie befriend a mysterious woman and her child who have rented ... morethe vacant cottage; a woman who they are sure is hiding from something or someone.
review 2: As I was reading this book, some details seemed very familiar to me, but I knew that I had never read it before. After a few chapters, I realized that it was the sequel to "Happiness Key" that I had read awhile ago. I found the continuation of the original story very interesting, although it is not necessary to read the first to enjoy the second. I hope there is a third book in the series and, if so, another romantic interest is introduced, because I'm not crazy about Marsh and I really don't think he is the right guy for Tracy, but I do like his son Bay. Maybe she can introduce him to the next neighbor to occupy Herb's/Dana's cottage? less
