Happiness Key
review 1: This is my third Emilie Richards book and I find I am enjoying her books more and more. I always seem to find the books a bit slow in the beginning, but once I get past the first few chapters I really get into them and find them really hard to put down. Happiness Key is truly a story of relationships - between husbands and wives, but more between four friends who start off as strangers and are so very different in every way. By the end of the book they all realise people are just people, and if you think you have nothing in common, there is always something, some thread, that will help you to form a firm friendship. There was two little mysteries as well, one was pretty predictable and the other a little harder to work out, but the four friends solved everything in the... more end. I do recommend this as a lovely book to read.
review 2: Rich and pampered, Tracy Deloche was left penniless when her shyster husband was sent to prison. The only thing he left her was twenty-five acres on a Florida Key and five tumbledown cottages. Deciding to temporarily become the landlord of the resident cottage families, Tracy finds more than she bargained for. Janya Kapur is a young woman coming to terms with an arranged marriage to a man who, although kind, is not the man she wanted to marry. Tainted by past scandal, she resigns herself to a loveless marriage. Wanda Grey’s marriage is falling apart and she decides to take a job that is guaranteed to destroy it. Widow Alice Brooks has grown so confused and forgetful since her daughter’s death that she needs her dutiful son-in-law to come and take care of her. These women will find something they never bargained for – a chance for happiness and friendship.APPEAL: A lovely book about friendship and its sustaining power. Some delightful humor and unforgettable characters. less

Even though I read this out of sequence, I still enjoyed the "beginning" of the story.

Not really my thing. Story was a little too slow moving for my liking.
