review 1: I read "The Lair" immediately after reading (and falling in love with) "The Farm" and found the change in POV to third person super hard to wrap my head around. I really wanted to fall into the book, get lost in the story and characters but felt more like I was just looking in from the outside.In saying that it was still a good read with adventure, heart ache and a cliff hanger to ensure that I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next part in this series.
review 2: Since the first in this series left me gasping I was excited to read this one and I was not disappointed. The Lair takes off right where The Farm left off and takes us even further into the vampire apocalypse. I love how the different points of view are used and allow you to see the events from ... moredifferent characters. My heart broke for Lily as she came to grips with events that occurred. Emily McKay again throws in a plot twist that is heart wrenching and leaves some unanswered questions. There better be a third book! less
