review 1: Absolutely BRILLIANT read!!!!I brought this book purely for the title lol I mean seriously !!!! It could be my theme song hahaa Then I read the synopsis & was instantly intrigued . So I grabbed a cup of coffee & settled in , kindle in hand , ready for a little light reading :)AND THERE I STAYED !!!!!OMG I WAS OBSESSED !!!I COULDNT STOP EVEN IF I WANTED TOOOO!!!! This book had so much of what I love in my chic lit :) Beautifully balanced , it had endearing characters ( not just the leads but the secondaries also) totally intriguing plot , lol humor , drama ,even a little angst & a beautiful , confusing romance that made me want to break out the Pom poms & do a little dance :) Not to mention a writing style the screamed intelligence & wit So if ur in the mood to lose urself... more in a great story & giggle while ur doing it , then this is the book for u!!! Now u will have to excuse me while I go stalk amazon for more of ms Poule's work :)
review 2: WOW! PERFECT book! PERFECT title! This book had everything... humor, sweetness, jealousy and heartbreak, Great retelling of an old story, of ex going to break up wedding to get groom for herself. Plenty of LOL parts. I love that Mina is a strong female character, in great company of unwavering, loyal friends, stumbling into a potential romance that she doesn't see coming. Luke was a douche and I wanted so much for him to figure out his self worth, for his and Mina's sake. The devil's in the details though, and Miss Poule leaves no stone unturned. She has thought all the characters through, and their intentions and motivations are fully realized and easily embraced. Would have loved to seen a more drawn-out HEA but the lack of it didn't leave me feeling too wanting. Hope there's a sequel...Would love to see how Luke is affected and has to deal with the choices he has made. I look forward to more from this author! less
