review 1: This book was so touching! The happiness, the heartache - it is all shared by the reader and genuinely felt. This book is all about feeling a sense of belonging and acceptance, knowing who you are, the ups and downs of all kinds of relationships, and knowing when a relationship is right or not for who you are at the present time and looking towards the future. Not only does it spark empathy for the reader, it also reminds us of all the similar things we've experienced and may experience in the future.
review 2: I give "I Now Pronounce You Someone Else" a 4.5. In the beginning, I was very confused by the repetiton of "switched at birth", but soon after I got into the rhythm of the book so much that i finished it in 2 days. All the characters were very credibl... moree, I even related myself to Browen AKA "Phoebe". "I Now Pronounce You Someone Else" is about 17 year-old Browen who believes she was switched at birth after her father's death because she has nothing in common with her brother ,who she calls "Jesus", because he is "perfect",mother and overall "crazy" realtives. Browen then meets up with Jared who is an old friend of her brother and they start going out so much that he proposes. Brownen says yes, because she loves him and because she will finally be a part of the "perfect" family she always dreamed of. With the pass of time, Brownen realizes she can't be "someone else" until she finds out who she is. "I Now Pronounce You Someone Else" is about finding out who you are, feeling like you belong, and how not knowing who you are can trouble your life further on. less
