review 1: I was ready for a chance of pace, and wanted something funny and light, and this book certainly provided it. I first read this author in Zombie Boyz and he (along with co-author Jeff Night) killed that book-it was hysterical! So my expectations might have been a bit too high for this one. This was quite funny but not as funny as their other story, so don’t use that book as the measuring stick for this one. That being said, it IS entertaining, I like both our MCs and the unfolding of who Wade was. I never quite felt like I got to know him as well, just his accomplishments, but I suspect the second book gives us more. Boone is self-effacing and aware of his sluttiness in a way that was appealing. The part at the end when they prepare to separate is unexpectedly touching. F... moreun book; a nice light read for Christmas!
review 2: Boone Daniels is supposed to be meeting his boyfriend Philip at the ski resort of Summit City, Phillip having booked and payed for the two week holiday and supposedly planning to join Boone for the second week. But Phillip has other intentions, the holiday was his way of dumping Boone. When Boone wakes one morning to find himself sleeping next to a handsome hunk he has no recollection of how he got there, and makes an early morning escape before his sleeping partner wakes, but before he depart he discovers his abductors name: Wade Walker. Thinking that is the last he will see of him he gets a shock when he arrives for his first ski lesson the next day to find his instructor is Wade Walker. After a disastrous first lesson Wade pursues Boone despite Boone's protestations. While Boone knows nothing about Wade, it seems that Wade is no mystery to the small town of Summit, everyone seems to know Wade, and that he is interested in Boone. Sno Ho is a delightful and very funny love story. Boone, who according to Wade looks very hot, is quick witted with a tendency towards flippancy; the handsome Wade, who at six foot six plus towers at lest six inches above Boone, is charming and oozes confidence. Wade falls for Boone in a big way, he is used to getting what he wants, but will he be able to hang to to Boone. less
