review 1: A wonderful light read. Summertime on a small island in a house on the beach. A house that throughout the story somehow went from housing just Cassidy on his first day back to sleeping seven hot guys after a beach party. Quite a shame I was not invited to that! There were some sad moments with Cassidy thinking back to happy times with his belowed grandmother. But there was also plenty of fun. At its best this was seriously laughing-my-ass-off-slapstick kind of fun.And obviously there was really only one proper way this book could end. I am happy now☺
review 2: 4.5There are many great reviews on this book already, so I keep it really short: This book is awesome! It's funny and lighthearted, but it still has substance and a real depth to it. And there were moment
... mores in there that really made me tear up. The characters (and there are quite many of them) were real and had all individual traits making them fun and an honest contribution to the story. Ethan Day has a casual writing style that makes every story, every character and every dialogue seem natural, believable, and this book is no exception.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I'll recommend it to everyone looking for a humorous, lighthearted but heartfelt story. less
