review 1: This is the second book in the series. Before I finished this book, I had ordered the 3rd. I enjoy the sisters, the setting on Nantucket, the people the sisters meet and interact with who stay at their Inn. These three sisters have gotten together midlife, after being scattered for the past twenty some years. They almost impulsively bought an Inn on Nantucket while there for a two week vacation. All coming from different life backgrounds. The novel shows how three women coming from varying backgrounds, redefine their lives, in their 50's and 60's. It takes courage to leave what is known, and venture into the unknown, even when pulled by new life experiences that are quite different from their previous years. The Inn has a history of mystery each sister becomes invo... morelved in. They are determined to discover the truth about the disappearance of one of the original owners. The guests who come to the Inn seem to leave happier than when they arrived due to interactions with one or more of the sisters.One of the best series of novels I've read in many years.
review 2: This series reminds me a lot of sillouette books in the type of writing it is. There is a romance of course with a great storyline that is not just limited to the take over of the inn. Our heroines in this series though are in the prime of their lives. They are not young with hourglass figures, perfect jobs, drop dead handsome men ~ no, they are actually my parents lives.If you are one who enjoys series books - one where you get to know the characters and like to know what happens "after" this is a series you will enjoy. I loved it features older characters (that are still older than me!)It would make a great series to give as a gift and is perfect for a rainy day or blizzard when you don't have anything else to do, no kids pulling on you and no don't feel like dealing with the endless piles of laundry.Disclaimer: I was offered both books to read and review on GivingNSharing through the Litfuse Blogger Program.
