review 1: I haven't read this book in a long time. I'm going to do a re-read.Ok, I'm fluctuating between 2.5 & 3 stars. Sometimes I liked Helena's character and some times I didn't like her at all. I liked Alex...a lot actually. The ending felt too abrupt and a bit unfinished to me and that lowered my overall enjoyment of the story. I'm going to re-read the next book in the series.By the way this book mentions Gregor as married? So this book should in fact be the second book not the first. Seems strange to do it this way.
review 2: This book is listed as the first book in the Faustin Bros series but the events in it take place after the events in the second book. I really liked the main character Alex. His absolute acceptance of his fated mate and his willingness to d... moreo anything to win her were endearing. What kept this book from being a 4 star read for me was the ending. It basically ended with the female lead saying she thinks she loves the hero. I would have liked seeing more of the couple toether after her announcement. Although I liked the book it didn't leave me with any desire to read the third book in the series. I would recommend reading the second book in the series (Bound By Blood) before reading this book. less
