review 1: I really wanted to like this one, but I couldn't. The other 2 stories were short and sweet, and that was totally fine, but the ground work for Mikhail's character was laid as him being the 'complicated' 'serious' one. As a result this story needed SO much more time and development, a short story is even more annoying than the person he was stuck with. Alya is just heinous. I couldn't get through the whole book because I disliked her so much. Then -SPOILERS***********************How is it possible for such an Alpha personality like Mikhail to be the sub in a D/s relationship? I just don't get it. Yes, sometimes Alphas like to give up their power but I just don't see that working for Mikhail.I guess it really doesn't matter - either way I couldn't get through the book becaus... moree I hated Alya too much.
review 2: The bondage warning by the author got me curious and the book was progressing really good and then at 60% I started losing the touch with the characters. And then the bondage part came and I didn't feel them any more. She rushed too much through the part AFTER. Someone like knyaz who surrended himself on a plate deserves more in depth description so does Alya who has even bigger issues about submitting herself to a man err vampire. Gregor's story remains my favourite. less
